Teacher Retirement Service

of Services:
TRS provides information to laid off teachers on their options after layoff. Options are refunds of
contributions and retirement eligibility based on service credit and age. Also,
if they return to a TRS-covered position, they may be able to buy their time if
it was due to a reduction in force.
